Otoplasty

Otoplasty is a medical term for cosmetic ear surgery. The procedure is intended to restructure the ear and address concerns of size, shape, and overall contour. Often, the primary goal is to set the ears closer to the head, or "pin" the ears back.

Dr. Umstattd places the incision along the back of the ear, making it imperceptible once the bandage is removed. Tailored sutures are placed to help reshape the ear, producing more favorable contours and ears that sit back naturally against the head.
